China has a train track passing through 19-storey block of flats

A railway track has been designed to run through a 19-storey residential building in Chinese city of Chongqing. The Liziba Station, located between the building’s 6th and 8th floor, was built to combat the lack of space in the city. The station has a noise insulation system, and the trains reportedly run on rubber tyres with air suspension units.

The area, also known as Mountain City, is home to 49 million people who are packed into just 31,000 square miles of land, so this is a great way to solve space issues.
