The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) will be launching its online allotment system for industrial and institutional plots on Tuesday, with the aim of achieving smart governance.
The Authority has initiated two schemes offering 300 acres of industrial land and institutional plots to interested entrepreneurs. The procedure for the land allotment under the scheme, which will close on September 15, will be completely online — from application to allotment, officials said.
According to officials, an area of about 250 acres is available for setting up industries in Greater Noida. “Considering it is our chairman Pravir Kumar’s focus to revive industrial development in Greater Noida to bring in investment, we have launched schemes to encourage industrialists to set up shop here,” said Deepak Agarwal, CEO, GNIDA.
“The aim is to provide entrepreneurs with a conducive environment for setting up industry and for ease of doing business for which we have introduced the online allotment system,” he said.
“The online procedure — from application to allotment — will allow online payments besides GIS-based real-time mapping for locating available industrial and institutional plots in the city,” he said.
“Prospective allottees will also be able to have a look at the area available through the software, which has been linked to the GNIDA’s layout plan. A graphic representation will be available to the entrepreneur, who will be able to look at the plot in actual surroundings,” he said.
“Once the plot is applied for, the status of the application and allotment can also be tracked by the investor. The aim is to ensure speed, effectiveness and transparency in the process,” he said.
Agarwal said there were about 150 industrial plots ready for immediate allotment. “These plots range in size from 1,000 to 4,000 square metres,” he said. “The allotment rate for the plots up to 4,000 square metres is Rs 10,790 per square metre,” he said.
“We will also carve out the plots on need basis an as per requirements of the investors,” he said, adding that plots were located in Ecotech 1, 6, 9, 10, 11, 16 and Ecotech extention-1. Allotments will be done on the basis of project reports and the fact of GNIDA’s criteria being met.
Meanwhile, about 30-50 acres of institutional plots will also be available to entrepreneurs. “These plots measuring above 1,000 square metres are located across the city,” the CEO said. “The land rate has been fixed at Rs 15,005 per square metre,” he said.
