Mumbai’s first garden built under a flyover opened for the public in Matunga called the ‘Nanalal D Mehta Garden‘, it was originally constructed in 2014 under the Tulpule flyover on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road but opening of the Rs 5 crore project was delayed due to a political tug of war between Shiv Sena and Congress. The garden has a children’s park and a 600-metre-long jogging track. It was inaugurated by Mayor Snehal Ambekar in the presence of other politicians and residents of the area.
