Honeywell Smart Building Score™ evaluates buildings and technologies against three key outcomes, which indicate smartness of a building: Green, Safe & Productive. The concept was introduced through a nation-wide survey of 2000 buildings. The results revealed that, while the country’s airports and hotels are quickly embracing smart building technologies, in general the smartness of buildings in India is low.
The Honeywell Smart Building Awards is a national competition that was launched on 16th October, 2015 to recognize the smartest buildings across the nation and to encourage the participation of more building owners. The awards ceremony was held on 11th December 2015 and was attended by eminent industry personalities. Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Government of India, was Chief Guest at the function and felicitated the winners.
